Text to Change presented at the UNICEF Western and Central African Region (WCARO) C4D Learning Workshop on campaign communication in Dakar from 3 to 7 May 2010. The overall theme of the energetic workshop was Communication for Development (C4D) programming for campaigns with a specific focus on integrated campaigns, child health days, and immunization and polio campaigns.

The majority of the participants attending were UNICEF officers from country offices, at various levels of seniority. They came with varying backgrounds including social sciences, health, nutrition, hygiene/sanitation. The participants are all, in various ways , responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of strategic communication interventions for behavior and social change in support of UNICEF programs.

Text to Change presented examples of good practice and successful initiatives from their experiences in using interactive sms for behavioral change campaigns in Africa.
